About Me

Born and raised with a strong artistic sensitivity, Chiara studied Communication Sciences in Rome, with a specialization in Cinema — focusing in particular on the theory and techniques of cinematic language. This academic background has deeply shaped her visual approach and sensitivity to storytelling.
Her work explores the timeless essence of the feminine — a force that transcends space and time, rooted in instinct, memory, and transformation. Through graphite chiaroscuro, she evokes something ancient and intuitive, echoing the emotional depth of black-and-white photography.
Touches of color, limited to eyes and lips, act as portals: symbols of perception and inner power. The backgrounds, built with vibrant fields of colored pencil and marker, are visual maps of evolving inner worlds — geometric, layered, and alive. They reflect a dual nature: rooted and fluid, in dialogue with a changing reality.

Chiara deliberately chooses tools often seen as “minor” — graphite, markers, colored pencils — as a tribute to the creative freedom of childhood. These are the materials many of us first used to express unseen emotions and imagined landscapes. Over time, they’ve become central to her practice: intimate, versatile, and quietly powerful — much like the women she portrays.
